Simplified Questline Guide

Introduction

The Simplified Questline is a special option that allows you to skip the Balenos, Serendia, Calpheon, and Mediah main story quests. Instead of following the story, you will receive new quests that require you to reach certain levels (up to level 58). This means you can choose to level via grinding or other methods.

If you do choose to take the Simplified Questline, you will still be able to complete all of your Season Pass objectives (if you are playing as a Season Character), and get all of the rewards from the main story quests, such as Beginner Blackstones, Inventory Slots, and Skill EXP.

After completing the Simplified Questline, you can continue with the other main story quests as normal (Eg. Valencia, Kamaslyvia, O’dyllita, Duvencrune, Everfrost, LoML, etc.)

Simplified Questline Requirements

The simplified questline can now be completed on both normal characters and season characters. In the past, you only had the option as a season character.

There was also a patch in November 2024 that changed the requirements for the Simplified Questline. Previously you needed to have completed the Mediah questline and the Free Pet quests, but now there are no requirements, and any character can choose the Simplified Questline option.

However, I would still recommend for new players to level up by completing the main story questline on their first character. This is because there are many features and rewards, such as the free pets, which can only be unlocked through the main story quests.

How to start the Simplified Questline

If you would like to take the Simplified Questline, it is recommended to start in the Ancient Stone Chamber starting zone.

You can still complete the simplified questline if you start in the other zones, but you would need to finish those questlines first as well as your awakening/succession quests.

• After starting in Ancient Stone Chamber, or returning to the Balenos questline if you selected a different starting zone, follow the Balenos questline as normal.
• During the Balenos questline, you will defeat the Red Nose boss, then head into Velia.
• Immediately after arriving in Velia, you will go to speak to Alustin to complete the quest.
• A pop-up option will appear on your screen where you can choose to either continue with the Balenos questline, or take the Simplified Questline option.

• Choose “[Crossroad] Simplified” then speak to Fughar to complete the quest. Once you complete this quest, you cannot return to normal questing.
• Finally, talk to the Black Spirit to obtain the “[Special Growth] Birth of Prestigious Family“ quest, which is the first quest in the Simplified Questline.
• You can now find the Simplified Questline in your quest log (O) under the Main tab > “[Special Growth] Taking My Own Path”

MoEW & LoML Starting Zones

If you started in the Mountain of Eternal Winter (Everfrost) or Land of the Morning Light zone, you can still take the Simplified Questline after to skip the Balenos > Mediah quests.

Once you have completed all of the requirements, you can accept the quest “In Search of Lost Memories” by speaking to your Black Spirit. This will unlock the Balenos questline, which is unavailable whilst you are doing the Everfrost/LoML questline.

Speak to your Black Spirit again to start the first quest in the Balenos questline and then head to Edan to begin. The process is the same and you will have the option to start the Simplified Questline when you reach Alustin in Velia.

Simplified Questline Objectives and Rewards

The Simplified Questline offers all of the same rewards that you would get by completing the Balenos, Serendia, Calpheon, and Mediah quests.
