I am a new/returning player, should I make a Season character?
Yes! Season characters get lots of extra benefits, such as rewards when reaching certain levels and rewards from the free Battlepass, as well as combat and skill EXP buffs permanently on the channel. Completing the main story quests give you an item called [Season] Secret Book of the Misty Breeze. When used, this will give you lots of skill points, which usually would take hours to obtain by grinding.
In addition to all of this, Season characters can only use “Naru Gear”, “Tuvala Gear” or story quest gear. The Tuvala gear is much easier to enhance than regular gear and you can keep your Tuvala gear until the end of the season. PEN Tuvala gear is equal to having TET boss gear. This makes gear progression much easier and faster than trying to progress with a regular character.
Can I delete my season character and make a new one?
Yes, you can. However, you will not get the leveling box aid item on a second character so make sure to put the box in your storage before you delete the character. You can then pick the item up on your new season character and can use it on that one.
In addition, if you have early graduated in the current season then you cannot make another season character.
When does the season start/end?
Since the patch on 20th September 2023, season is never-ending now and you can jump into season whenever you like! You progress at your own pace and choose when you graduate.
Do you have to complete the Season Pass in order?
You can complete most of the tasks early and the progress will be saved, but you need to complete all the tasks before it to actually get the reward. The quests that require you to kill monsters (eg. defeat 3k monsters) will not progress until you get to that part of the Season Pass.
What rewards should I get with my Season Pass items?
The Choose your pet Box is a very nice choice. Pets are useful because they can loot items for you automatically. It’s recommended to get 5 pets as early as possible to make things a lot more convenient for you when grinding. You can buy pets with real money or do quests to get free ones and buy more from the central marketplace with silver.
Other popular choices: Advice of Valks (+140), Memory Fragment Box
Does my Tuvala gear need to be full durability when I convert it?
When you convert the gear it will keep the current durability so make sure to repair it fully before you covert it. If you change your Tuvala gear to a boss piece it will come with full durability.
I have a lot of spare Beginner Black Stones, what should I do with them?
If you are already full PEN Naru gear then you can use your spare Beginner Black Stones to create a second PEN Naru piece or set and exchange it for PRI Tuvala. A second Tuvala set will be useful when you are trying to build fail stacks or as a backup piece when enhancing your Tuvala gear. Beginner Black Stones can also be sold to any NPC Vendor for a small silver gain. Unfortunately, there is no other use for the Beginner Black Stones at the moment.
What accessories should I use on my Season character?
The best accessories available to Season characters are Tuvala accessories, which have the highest AP once they are enhanced to PEN. However, Asula accessories are better than base Tuvala accessories and are good accessories to use at the start. I would also personally use Asula accessories or accessories from story quests at the beginning because you will be using your Time-filled Blackstones to focus on your weapons and armor first.
I would also not bother with Naru accessories and use Asula accessories if possible unless you have lots of spare Beginner Black Stones and no other accessories to use. Naru accessories can only be enhanced to TRI and have very low AP. Even at TRI, they have lower AP than a base Asula accessory.
Asula accessories can be obtained from Abandoned Iron Mine, Helms Post, Elric Shrine, and Canyon of Corruption. They are easy areas for around level 56 with low AP requirements.
You can also grind at Titium Valley, Crescent Shrine, and Cadry Ruins to get a free DUO Tuvla Earring, Belt, or Ring depending on the area. These grind spots require level 56 or 57 and higher. You can read more about this in our Season Server Guide.
How do I convert my Naru gear to Tuvala gear?
You must have PEN Naru gear and must have completed the Mediah Story Questline up to the quest “Apocalyptic Prophecy“. There will then be a quest from your Black Spirit that you must complete. Next, open your inventory and there will be 3 icons on the left of your gear window. The top icon will have a sword and you can click this to begin the process of converting your gear. It’s highly recommended to convert your PEN Naru to PRI Tuvala to save your Time-filled Black Stones and other resources.
I only see the Valencia quest line, where have all my main quests gone?
You may have started the Simplified Main Questline by accepting the quest Birth of a Prestigious Family. If you complete this quest, your character won’t be able to do the normal questline before Valencia. If you want to do the normal questline you can forfeit the [Special Growth] Birth of a Prestigious Family quest. If you have already completed this quest then you will have to continue with the Simplified questline. To do this use Fughar’s Memorandum item in your inventory and follow his instructions.
How do I start the Simplified Main Questline?
Follow the main story quest until you get to Velia. When you arrive at NPC Alustin a popup will appear asking whether you would like to continue the main story or go through the simplified questline. Choose the option for the simplified questline, then go to Fughar and complete this quest. Once you reach certain levels you will complete each quest and can talk to the Black Spirit to accept the next level quest or complete the Season Pass Challenges!
If you miss the opportunity to choose the simplified questline, you get another chance to switch to the simplified questline when you finish the Balenos Main story quests.
Fughar won’t give me the quest for the Season Special Reward?
Can I use my gear from this season in the next season?
Season gear from the current season cannot be used in the next season. When the current Tuvala gear is converted it can’t be used by season characters anymore. Unconverted gear is deleted during maintenance on the day that the next season starts.
Time-filled Blackstones and other enhancement items cannot be used either and will also be deleted. Make sure to sell any extras you have to an NPC because they are worth quite a lot of silver altogether.
When should I graduate?
We strongly recommend new or returning players to take your time in leveling and gearing up your season character to max possible levels before graduating from the season servers. You can now graduate when you want to and aren’t fixed to a certain date, so take your time and graduate only when you are ready. Make sure you have at least full PEN Tuvala gear before you graduate and complete all of your season pass.
There are many benefits to keeping your season character on a season server, such as the combat and skill exp buffs. Time-filled Blackstones are worth a lot of silver. If you do the weekly quests and grind on the season server you will have a lot of these left over at the end and they can be sold to a vendor for a lot of silver. Only graduate when you are ready to take the next step with your gear and character.
How do I Graduate?
You can graduate as soon as you have completed the Season pass. For full instructions check our Season Graduation guide. Please remember that you can take your time and graduate when you are ready! Make sure you have completed everything you want to complete while still a season character.
Can my other characters use converted Tuvala/Boss gear?
Yes. Converted Tuvala and Boss gear becomes family-bound. This means it can be used on any of your regular characters. However, season characters in the next season cannot use the gear until they graduate and become a regular character.
How does the gear converting and exchanging for boss gear work?
At the end of the season, you will “convert” your Tuvala armor, weapons, and accessories so that you have 1 full set of gear.
This doesn’t actually do anything other than allow you to use the gear on any characters now instead of only your season character. But you won’t be able to enhance the gear anymore. Any gear that isn’t converted is deleted during maintenance on the day that the new season server starts.
After that, you can pick 1 armor or weapon that you’ve just converted and you turn it into boss gear. The enhancement goes down by 1 level. So if your Tuvala is PEN then it goes down to TET. This boss gear can be used on any of your characters and can be enhanced to become even stronger. Converted boss gear cannot be sold on the marketplace.
For the rest of your gear, you can use the Jetina Guaranteed PEN method to swap the rest of your gear for boss gear and start upgrading them.
What happens if my gear has crystals when I convert it?
Any crystals in your Tuvala gear will remain intact when you convert the Tuvala gear to regular gear.
If you are converting Tuvala gear into a boss piece and your Tuvala gear has crystals in it, you will need to remove them first or you will get an error message when you try to convert it. This can be done by summoning your Black Spirit, then choosing the “Transfusion” option and right-clicking your crystal to remove it. This will destroy the crystal.
You can safely remove the crystal using certain items, but these items aren’t always easily obtainable and I only recommend using them if you have very high-value crystals in your gear, such as JIN Vipers or HAN Hoom crystals. For more information about crystals, I recommend checking our guide.
