Introduction
Narchillan gear is a good starter option for new players if Season Servers are not available. It is also useful to put on an alt character for world bosses since the gear is easy and free to obtain through a once-per-family quest.
How to Obtain Narchillan Gear
To obtain the Narchillan Gear, you must complete a quest from the Black Spirit called “[Special Aid] Fughar’s Letter”.
Quest Requirements:
- Completed the Calpheon Main Story Questline + level 50 or higher
- OR be level 56 or higher
You will then be sent to Fughar to speak with him and finish the rest of the questline.
This will unlock 7 different quests from Fughar. Each quest can only be completed once per account and will award you with a piece of Narchillan gear.
Narchillan Gear Stats
Narchillan gear is similar to DUO-TRI Blackstar gear, it is slightly less AP/DP than PEN Tuvala, but has additional Monster Damage Reduction. The Narchillan gear also has the same set bonus as Blackstar and Boss gear, so you can also mix and match Narchillan, Blackstar, and Boss gear to obtain the set bonus.

Swapping Narchillan Weapons to another Class
Narchillan Armor can be swapped to another class and worn on the class. You can put the Armor into storage and collect it on another character. However, Weapons are class-exclusive and cannot be worn by another class.
If you have already completed the Narchillan quests at Fughar, you can swap your Narchillan weapons to another class by processing the weapon to turn it back into a Weapon Box. The Weapon Box can then be opened on any character to obtain a weapon suitable for that class.
To get started, you will need to buy a Narchillan Processing Stone from a Blacksmith for 1 million silver.
- Use the Find NPC function to help you find a Blacksmith easily (ESC Menu > Function > Find NPC)
Town | Vendor NPC |
---|---|
Velia | Tranan Underfoe |
Heidel | Techthon |
Calpheon | Grandus |
Altinova | Mevo Muranan |
Valencia | Elfa |
Grána | Dikzipo |
Duvencrune | Hughol |
O’dyllita | Limitte |
After buying the Processing Stone, press L to open the Processing Window and select “Manufacture”.
Right-click the Processing Stone and Narchillan weapon in your inventory, then click the “Start” button to begin crafting.
Once the crafting is complete, you will be given a Weapon Box that you can open on any character.

Using Narchillan to upgrade Tuvala Gear
You can melt Narchillan gear to obtain up to 2 Combatant’s Reform stones (one for armor and one for a weapon).
These reform stones can be added to Tuvala gear to give them extra Monster Damage or Monster Damage Reduction.
- The Tuvala gear must have been converted at the end of the season to use on normal non-season Characters
- The Combatant’s Reform Stone cannot be used on a Shai’s Tuvala Sol weapon
- The Combatant’s Reform Stones are bound to your family and cannot be registered on the Central Market
- You can revert the Reform Stones back into Narchillan gear if you no longer want to use them
Reform Stone | Gear Slot | Added Effect | |
---|---|---|---|
Combatant’s Stone (Armor) | Tuvala Helmet | Monster Damage Reduction +7 | |
Combatant’s Stone (Armor) | Tuvala Armor | Monster Damage Reduction +7 | |

How to Obtain Combatant’s Stones
To obtain the Combatant’s Reform Stones, you first need to open the Processing window (L) and then select the “Heating” option.
- Right-click the Narchillan Gear in your inventory and begin crafting
- You will obtain an item called Spirit’s First Breath
Next, take the Spirit’s First Breath item to Maery at Atanis Pond. She will have two quests available:
(You can only complete these quests once per family)
- [Special Aid] Where the Spirits First Breathe: Armor
- Hand over Spirit’s First Breath x1 to obtain Combatant’s Stone (Armor) x1
- [Special Aid] Where the Spirits First Breathe: Weapon
- Hand over Spirit’s First Breath x1 to obtain Combatant’s Stone (Weapon) x1
Now that you have the Combatant Stones, you can reform your Tuvala gear by summoning your Black Spirit and using the “Item Reform” option. Select your Tuvala gear and the stone, then click reform to add the stone to the gear.
How to Remove Combatant’s Stones
If you would like to remove the Reform Stone from the gear, you will need to buy an item called “Combatant’s Restoration Stone“. The Combatant’s Restoration Stone can be bought from a Blacksmith for 5 million silver. You can then use the “Extract Reform Stone” option at a Blacksmith to remove the stone safely.
Reverting a Combatant’s Stone back to Narchillan Gear
You can revert a Combant’s Stone and turn it back into Narchillan gear.
- Use Processing (L) > Heating on the Combatant’s Stone
- This will give you a Spirit’s First Breath and Combatant’s Stone Fragment (Weapon/Armor)
- Now use Processing (L) > Heating on all of your other Narchillan gear to obtain “Spirit’s First Breath”
- This will give you Spirit’s First Breath x7
- If you bring all 7 Spirit’s First Breath to Fughar, you can obtain a quest called “[Special Aid] By the Power of Narchillan Once More”.
- Hand over the items to Fughar to complete the quest, in return, he will give you all 7 pieces of Narchillan gear back.
Make sure you also keep the “Combatant’s Stone Fragment” item. If you want to create the Reform Stones again in the future, you can heat the Narchillan gear and then Processing (L) > Heating to combine it with the Combatant’s Stone Fragment to make a Reform Stone.
