Introduction
Infinite Potions are treasures to collect in BDO which are basically never-ending potions. Most of the item pieces must be obtained as a rare grinding drop and can take hours and hours to collect.
You must collect 5 item pieces and then combine them together to create the infinite potions. Once crafted they can be placed into the family inventory so that you can use them on different characters. Each piece takes around 50 hours to collect, but this can be higher or lower depending on your RNG, and can also be sped up by completing the Weekly quests. You can also choose to buy the completed treasure from the Central Market instead of grinding for it yourself.
There are two different types you can collect:
- Ornette’s Spirit Essence (Infinite HP potion)
- Odore’s Spirit Essence (Infinite MP/WP/EP/SP potion – works for all classes)
The two infinite potions have exactly the same stats and cooldown as the instant XL potions but they do have a weight of 50LT, which is equal to carrying 20 of the XL potions. They also have no cost to use, saving you billions of silver over time and making them a very desired item!
Other popular treasure items to collect:
- Archaeologist’s Map – allowing players to teleport to town and back for free
- Lafi Bedmountain’s Upgraded Compass – instantly teleport party members to your locations
- Rich Merchant’s Ring – tax reduction on the marketplace
Ornette’s Spirit Essence (HP Infinite Potions)
The HP potion requires the following 5 pieces to create the potion:
- Sherekhan’s Panacea
- Ron’s Tintinnabulum
- Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak
- Gayak’s Courage Stone
- Musical Spirit’s Sound Stone
How to Obtain the pieces
To obtain the first 3 pieces, you need to grind at certain places. The HP Potion piece can drop directly from certain monsters, or you can collect x100 of the “Pity Pieces” instead and use those to craft the item.
The pity pieces can drop from all monsters in the area, but the full piece only drops from certain monsters.
- For example: for the Ron’s Tintinnabulum item, the full piece can only drop from the Forest Ronaros Guardian and Forest Ronaros Catcher, at Forest Ronaros (Tooth Fairy Forest).
- Afuaru also has a chance of dropping the full piece, and a higher chance of dropping Pity Pieces.
During the Treasure Events, both the full item and pity pieces can drop from additional locations.
HP Potion Piece | Pity Pieces | Drop Location and Monster | Treasure Event Additional Location |
---|---|---|---|
Sherekhan’s Paneaca | Dragon’s Fang x100 |
Sherekhan Necropolis Garud (during day), Afuaru (Pity Pieces can drop from all monsters) |
Protty Cave Zera Protty (Pity Pieces can drop from all monsters) |
Ron’s Tintinnabulum |
Tranquil Tinniolum x100 |
Forest Ronaros Forest Ronaros Guardian Forest Ronaros Catcher Afuaru (Pity Pieces can drop from all monsters) |

Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak | Blood Wolf’s Oath x100 |
Blood Wolf Settlement Kagtum Executioner Afuaru (Pity Pieces can drop from all monsters) |
Cadry Ruins Cadry Armored Figher (Pity Pieces can drop from all monsters) |
Once you have collected x100 of the relevant Pity Piece, you can take them to NPC Merindora in Grana. Use the chat option to show her the Pity Pieces, and she will give you an additonal item.
Use Simple Alchemy (L) to create the HP Potion items
- Eg. Combining Dragon’s Fang x100 with Dragon’s Roar x1 will create Sherekhan’s Panacea
Dragon’s Fang x100 |
Tranquil Tinniolum x100 |
Blood Wolf’s Oath x100 |
Dragon’s Roar x1 |
Forest’s Whisper x1 |
Crimson Breath of Resentment x1 |
Once you have collected all 3 full item pieces (Sherekhan’s Panacea, Ron’s Tintinnabulum, Ash Halfmoon Kagtunak), you can go back to Merindora again to show her all 3 pieces. This will allow you to collect the 2 final pieces needed for the potion.

- You must choose and can only complete ONE of these weekly quests per week. This includes the Weekly quests for the MP Potion.

How to craft the HP Infinite potions
There are two different ways to craft the HP potion. Before crafting you will need to swap any “Ancient” pieces you have for normal pieces. This is because you can no longer create the “Ancient” versions and can’t mix and match Ancient pieces with normal pieces.
To swap the pieces, go to Merindora in Grana and use the “Exchange” option.
Method 1: Combine using Yaz’s Combinables Pouch
The first way is to combine all 5 items in the following pattern using Yaz’s Combinables Pouch to create an Ornette’s Spirit Essence.
- Open your inventory and click the “Yaz’s Combinables Pouch” icon at the bottom
- Right-click all 5 pieces to add them to Yaz’s Pouch
- Rearrange the pieces in the same way as the image to create a + shape
- Click the + button in the corner to combine
Method 2: Create Weaker Potions
This method allows you to create smaller/weaker potions and gradually make Ornette’s Spirit Essence over time. You will still need to obtain all of the items and cannot use duplicate potion pieces to create the final infinite potion.

Grind Spot Location/Additional Info
Item 1: Valtarra’s Clairvoyance
I recommend killing the Ferrica and Ferrina birds because they are easy to knock down and kill as well as having a fast respawn. There is a particular spot I used to grind this item, which is shown on the map below. In that spot, the birds are dense and you can easily pull full packs by just hitting the blue ones. They have around a 10-second respawn time.
This area has a recommended minimum AP of 210.
It’s also important to note that life skill mastery does not affect your chances of looting the pity piece or the drop. Therefore, it is better to use a Magic Tool for the increased “Gathering Item Drop Rate”.
As well as dropping the completed Valtarra’s Clairvoyance, the monsters can drop Valtarra’s Memory (pity piece). Once you have x100 Valtarra’s Memory you can go to Merindora to show her the items. She will give you Valtarra’s Nail x1. You can then combine Valtarra’s Memory and Valtarra’s Nail into Valtarra’s Clairvoyance using Simple Alchemy.
Item 2: Markthanan’s Gland
This item is obtained as a rare drop by grinding monsters at Tshira Ruins. This area has a recommended minimum AP of 140.
The following mobs drop the item:
- Leaf Keeper
- Vine Keeper
- Grove Keepers
Monsters in this area also drop Garmoth’s Scale which is needed for other infinite potion items.
As well as dropping the completed Markthanan’s Gland, all monsters can drop Katzvariak’s Venom (pity piece). Once you have x100 Katzvariak’s Venom you can go to Merindora to show her the items. She will give you Markthanan’s Greed x1. You can then combine the Katzvariak’s Venom and Markthanan’s Greed into a Markthanan’s Gland using Simple Alchemy.
Item 3: Narc’s Crimson Tear
This item is obtained as a rare drop by grinding monsters at Manshaum Forest. This area has a recommended minimum AP of 240.
The following mobs drop the item:
- Manshaum Shaman
- Manshaum Great Warrior
Monsters in this area also drop Rumbling Earth Shards which are needed for other infinite potion items.
As well as dropping the completed Narc’s Crimson Tear, all monsters can drop Narc’s Solace (pity piece). Once you have x100 Narc’s Solace you can go to Merindora to show her the items. She will give you Narc’s Tear x1. You can then combine the Narc’s Solace and Narc’s Tear into a Narc’s Crimson Tear using Simple Alchemy.
Item 4: Krogdalo’s Protection Stone
Once you have the first 3 items, you must go to the NPC “Merindora”. She is located on the east side of Grana and will have a quest for you to complete to gain some knowledge. You must unlock this knowlege before being able to exchange the other items.
You then must go to Krogdalo’s Trace, who is the node manager of Krogdalo’s Trace (northwest of Grana).
PC Players: Exchange Rumbling Earth Shards x100 for the 4th item.
- Rumbling Earth Shards are obtained by exchanging Horse Race Seal x1, Shiny Golden Seal – [Imperial Training] x2, OR Peridot Leaf x15. There are also drop when killing some monsters in Kamaslyvia and can be bought from the central market.
Console Players: Exchange Spirit Essence of Earth x100 instead
- Spirit Essence is obtained by Processing (L) > Simple Cooking: Earth Spirit Stone Fragment and Purified Water
Item 5: Night Crow’s Dawn Stone
Once you have the first 3 items, you must go to the NPC “Merindora”. She is located on the east side of Grana and will have a quest for you to complete to gain some knowledge. You must unlock this knowledge before being able to exchange the other items.

Finally, you can combine the items using Yaz’s Combinables Pouch to create the infinite potion!

Ancient Infinite Potions (Returning Players)
On 15th September 2021, the infinite potions were changed to make them more accessible and easier to grind.
- One of the changes was to add “pity pieces”.
- Before the pity pieces were added, players had to grind until the potion items dropped and didn’t have a guarantee that their grind would ever end.
- To differentiate between the old and newer method of obtaining the infinite potions, the “Ancient” versions were added.
- Any player who created their potion before 15th September could craft the “Ancient” infinite potions version, which would add their Family name to the item, and the player would receive a unique colored title.
- Players cannot obtain the “Ancient” version of the potions anymore, or the colored titles, even if they collect all 3 “Ancient” infinite potions items.
If you are a returning player who created the infinite potions BEFORE 15th September 2021, you can still turn your potions into “Ancient” infinite potions by going to Merindora in Grana.
Speak with her and accept/complete the “Dawnwish Petal” and/or “Duskwish Petal” quests.
