New Region – Mountain of Eternal Winter

The new territory of Black Desert, ‘Mountain of Eternal Winter’, will be updated on the official Korean server on December 29th. We are working hard to prepare the official server opening as many people are looking forward to, so I hope you enjoy playing with a lot of anticipation. It is not a global simultaneous update, so adventurers in other regions will be very disappointed, but we are currently concentrating on localization including translation, so we would appreciate your patience.

Blackstar Offhand Weapons

- Blackstar sub-weapon crafting quest has been added.
- The Blackstar secondary weapon production quest can only be performed once per character.
- In order to start the Blackstar sub-weapon crafting quest, you need the ‘Remnant of the Rift’ item, which can be obtained with a low probability from the Dark Rift, and the knowledge of the ‘The Three Legendary Blacksmiths of Mediah‘. In addition, in order to craft the Blackstar sub-weapon, you need the special material ‘Specters Energy’, which can be obtained rarely throughout the Black Desert World, and with a slightly higher probability in the Thornwood Forest hunting grounds.
- ‘Remnants of the Rift’ can be obtained with a low probability when defeating the Dark Rift boss.
- The knowledge of ‘Three Blacksmiths of Mediah’ can be acquired by completing the main quest for Mediah reorganized with characters of level 56 or higher, and then completing the quest for ‘Three Blacksmiths’ from Tulem. For adventurers who have already completed it, you can obtain it by interacting with Tulem.
- There is a branch in the middle of this quest. Experienced adventurers can fight a powerful boss right away, and normal adventurers can complete a quest by fighting a weakened boss.
Tuvala Changes

The Black Spirit’s Rage skill feels like a kind of ‘special move’, and was created with the intention of delivering exhilarating action during battle. However, right now, it was more efficient to receive and maintain the absorption buff than the Black Spirit’s Rage skill, so I adjusted the Rage skill to use it a little more. Now, when you use 100% / 200% of Black Spirit’s Rage skill, you can get the effect of the Rage buff for 40 seconds. Increasing the duration of the buff effect to 60 seconds is also being considered, and while it was not applied to the Black Desert Research Lab today, the damage of Black Spirit’s Rage (100%/200%) for each class will also be adjusted. . With these updates, we hope that you will be able to play like the protagonist of an action movie at least once when fighting.
