Pet Levels Removed

The pet’s level was designed as an element of growth in the affectionate relationship between adventurers and pets, and as the level goes up, the more familiar the animal is, the more familiar it is to learn social actions and adventure together. Many adventurers, cherished and loved their pets, such as those who liked the concave eyes perched on their shoulders, the moon cat that rode in front of their horses, or the penguins that were cute just by being there. Even without levels, as you feel the joy of growing together, social actions are learned from the beginning with the adventurer, so that the adventure continues more happily.

The pet’s level has been removed.
- All social actions that could be acquired according to the pet level are registered as acquired when registering the pet.
- As the pet level has been removed, the text related to the tier 5 pet training conditions and training items has been modified.
- The phrase related to the level of the pet registration card has been removed.

Through the previous official server update, the pet’s item pick-up time has been improved to the fastest speed regardless of level.
- Action every 9.00 seconds based on 1st generation level 1 → Act every 3.60 seconds (Companion command: Agility standard)
- Action every 5.62 seconds based on 1st level of 4th generation → Action every 2.25 seconds (Companion command: Agility standard)

Wild Horses

The blessing of the spirit Krogdalo, the conqueror of wind and earth, has been given to the wild horses of the Black Desert world. Wild horses are more active among adventurers and residents.

Wild horse spawn times in all regions have been reduced as follows.
- Before change: Reappears between 2 and 3 hours
- After change: Reappears between 30 and 60 minutes

Keplan/Arehaza Old Moon Furniture Workshop

The Old Moon Furniture Workshop has been added where furniture that can be purchased at the Pearl Shop (F3) can be crafted with in-game material items.
- Old Moon Furniture Workshop has been added to 1-1 Keplan and 1-1 Arehaza Village.
- The Old Moon Furniture Workshop can be used by purchasing a house with contribution points in town.

Dehkia’s Lantern Improvements

Global Lab Updates - 21st July 2023 With today’s update, Dehkia’s lantern hunting grounds have been expanded and loot from some existing hunting grounds has been improved.

First of all, the newly added Dehkia lantern hunting grounds are Tunkta and Thornwood Forest. Both hunting grounds can use Dehkia’s Lantern in the same way as Ash Forest and Olun’s Valley, and the recommended attack and defense are 310 and 400.

In addition, through today’s patch, the loot of some hunting grounds that were relatively inefficient was also increased. Starting with Kamasylvia’s Mirumok Ruins and Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Above and Underground), this includes Calpheon Elvia (Giant Post, Rhutum Post, Saunil Camp) and Serendia Elvia (Swamp Fogan, Swamp Naga, Altar Imp, Ruined Castle Site, Biraghi Den). In addition, the upper limit of the central market for ‘cup’ items has been adjusted from 2 billion to 5 billion.

We will continue to improve the hunting ground while fully testing it, and in the coming August, we will prepare hard to continue to the new area – hunting ground ‘Uluquita’.

Continuing today, I would like to explain the so-called ‘soft cap’, the appropriate attack power, which adventurers have been curious about and worried about.

There are various hunting grounds in the world of Black Desert, and adventurers will find a place that suits their equipment and play. In this situation, the appropriate attack power was applied to partially prevent adventurers with high equipment from being swept too easily from relatively low-grade hunting grounds and getting excessive rewards.

However, rather than accepting the risk of higher hunting grounds and obtaining loot, there was a phenomenon of staying at hunting grounds such as Serendia Elvia with stable profits, and as a result, many people directly experienced the appropriate attack power. In addition, the fact that the profits of the higher hunting grounds are not very different from the hunting grounds of the relatively lower level (Orc Camp, In-depth, etc.) also had an impact on creating the situation you are currently worried about.

However, in the case of appropriate attack power, it is considered necessary so far. Therefore, we will also improve the UI so that you can accurately check the meaning and numerical value of this appropriate attack power in the in-game hunting ground information, and check once again whether the appropriate attack power matches the current situation of hunting grounds (including Dehkia’s lantern), and organize and tidy up if necessary. We will also consider figures such as the minimum attack power to enter the hunting ground.

In order to improve this situation, we upgraded the level and loot of some hunting grounds to the highest level through the aforementioned Dehkia Lantern, and in addition, we are preparing the next highest level hunting grounds such as ‘Uluquita’. Through this, we will recreate a structure in which high-ranking adventurers can move to higher-level hunting grounds and obtain satisfactory rewards.

As part of that, the new hunting ground ‘Ulukita’ has prepared a new type of loot, such as “The Origin of Dark Predation”, which is not found in the existing hunting ground. We will continue to think more and try to keep adventurers motivated to grow with newer loot.

Dehkia Lantern – Tunkta (recommended for a party of 2)

If you use Dehkia’s lantern at the hunting grounds in the Tunkta area, the Turo monsters will awaken in a chaotic state.
- In this hunting ground, you can acquire Turo’s Belt up to DUO (II) level.
- Dehkia’s Lantern – In Tunkta, instead of killing monsters while moving, you will be hunting against the Turos that flock in one place.

Fixed Dehkia’s Lantern to be summoned when Node Wars and Conquest Wars begin.

Fixed the issue where the <Void> Rift Seed would die 3 minutes after it was converted from combat mode to non-combat mode.

The drop rate of the Sealed Black Magic Crystal, obtainable from defeating Rhutum monsters, has been increased by approximately 87%. The amount of ‘biting Rhutum fang’ miscellaneous loot obtained from defeating Rhutum monsters has been increased from 1-2 → 1-3.

Valencia Part 2/Stars End Quest Improvements

Through this update, the quest “Valencia PT2”, which deals with the story of ‘Zobadi’ and ‘Afuaru’, which has been in the memories of adventurers in Black Desert for a long time, has been removed from the main quest. It was a quest that wanted to explore the vast desert, where pathfinding is not supported, and to include experiences that can be tasted because it is a desert. However, it is also true that these quests have caught the steps of many adventurers who want to move on to the next adventure. After a lot of thought, we decided to exclude this quest from the main quest, judging that it is not too late to proceed after clearing all the unknown fog of the vast Black Desert. Those who liked the Valencia PT2 quests as ‘main quests’ may be somewhat disappointed, but these quests still remain as regular story quests, waiting for experienced adventurers to find Valencia. Adventurers who want to challenge the story of Zobadi and Afuaru can visit Afuaru at any time to proceed with the story.

[Lv.56 Valencia II] Valencia’s treasure quest has been changed from the main quest to a normal quest.
- Quest list window (O) – Related items have been removed from the main quest tab.
- The starting NPC for the Valencia Treasure quest has been changed from Black Spirit to Afuaru.

During the main quest in Star’s End, the quest to defeat monsters in the field has been improved as follows.
- The route guidance has been modified to a location where the density of monsters is low, so that you do not fight too many monsters.
- Some arrangements of the target monsters for the quest have been modified so that the quest can proceed smoothly.

Dragon Palace Event

Global Lab Updates - 21st July 2023 July 26th. Dragon King’s palace, Sugung, is coming to adventurers.

Adventurers will be able to become the main character in a fairy tale in the water palace and proceed with various story quests.
This summer, we are preparing for a cool and enjoyable experience in the underwater water palace.

On July 26th, when the official server is updated, ‘Sugung’ will come to adventurers.

UI Improvements

It has been improved so that the number of items you own is displayed in the exchange window in the NPC chat window.
