The main quests in Balenos, the warm hometown of adventurers, will be renewed. Full voice acting cutscenes, appearance improvements of the main characters, and enhanced directing have been added, and the quest line has been greatly reorganized. In order to make it easier for new adventurers to familiarize themselves with Black Desert and understand the world view, we have prepared a tutorial for existing adventurers to experience the new Balenos main quest. Refining existing content is as important as adding new content, so we will continue to work hard to improve it.
- Beginning of adventure, Balenos main quest has been reorganized with full voice acting, cutscenes, and clearer characters and groups.
- After the tutorial of traversing the desert with Illezra is over, you can start immediately in either [Comb of the Ancients] or [Mountain of Endless Winter].
- ※ The characters that started with “Mountain of Endless Winter” can be continued after completing “Mountain of Endless Winter” “Mediah Tour”, “Character Succession/Awakening”, and Skill Preset Quest are completed. (In the case of new character Drakania, after Succession only)
- You can check the reorganized list of main quests through the quest list window (O) – the main quest tab “[Balenos] One who breaks the chains of ghosts”.
- According to the reorganized setting, some of the knowledge related to the Balenos area has been modified and newly added.
- The reorganized Balenos main quest consists of the following three subdivided stories.
- In this reorganized Balenos main quest, you can increase amity by adventure with the new main NPCs.
- There are various branch quests in the reorganized Balenos main quest, and the results may vary depending on the choices of adventurers.
※ Adventurers who are in the process of the existing Balenos main quest will continue the existing main quest and cannot proceed with the reorganized main quest.
※ Seasonal characters who have completed [Pet] Bariz’s Junide can proceed with the simplified branch quest by completing the quest ‘[Balenos] Dark Clouds Over the Village’ in the reorganized main quest.

Calpheon Elvia – Quint Hill
The realms of Calpheon Elvia introduced in CalpheON Episode 2 will be revealed one at a time. Starting with Quint Hill this week, it will be applied to the official server after all hunting grounds are revealed. Hadum, who consumed Serendia, summoned a black sun blazing with the energy of curse and destruction to the Calpheon area. *NEW CLASS* – Drakania
- Destroyer of Yinx, a new class ‘Drakania’ will be released on the official Black Desert servers worldwide on April 6th.
- After reaching level 56, Drakania can obtain her Succession through quests.
- For Drakania, 100% of the main weapon’s attack power is applied to succession until Awakening is released.
