Hardcore PVP Server Guide

Introduction

The Hardcore PVP Server is a separate server from the main server and best described as a separate game mode.

The current pre-season for the Hardcore PVP Server is from Mar 13, 2025 (Thu) after maintenance – Apr 10, 2025 (Thu) before maintenance

How to join the Hardcore PVP Server

To get started and join the Hardcore PVP Server, you must select the Hardcore server in the server selection list when you first login. You will then be able to make a hardcore server character using the free character slot you are given. You can only make 1 character at a time on the Hardcore PVP Server.

In the pre-season, there are only 4 classes you can choose from: Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress, or Berserker.

The character you create will automatically start at level 63 and will have 3,000 skill points availalbe. You can choose between the Awakening or Succession skill spec for the class you choose, but skill add-ons are not available. You can only reset your skills in sanctums and Mysterious Light safe zones.

You will also have a chest containing starter gear in your character inventory.

As soon as you enter the Hardcore PVP Server, your remaining play time will start to count down. Each day you have a maximum of 2 hours (120 minutes) to spend on the Hardcore PVP Server.

Connecting to the Hardcore server will automtically turn on Privacy Mode. You can use the World/minimap and auto-navigate the desert without need for a compass.

Pets are unavailable, but your character will auto-loot at speeds equivalent to having one taken out.

• Looting speeds equal to having one Tier 5 Alpha Pet and four Tier 4 “Agile” pets.

Deleting your Hardcore PVP Server Character

If you delete and remake your character, their points will be reset. Character deletion has a 3 minute waiting time.

Hardcore PVP Server Gameplay

The goal on the Hardcore PVP Server is to collect Survival points and Quest points.

When you are ready to leave the server for the day, you make an “offering” to store your collected points and turn them into Hardcore Honor Seals. The seals are then exchanged for rewards on the main server.

Information about your current Offering (Survival + Quest) Points and accepted quests can be found below your mini-map.

You also collect trash loot when killing monsters, and can sell your trash loot to a sanctum NPC to exchange it into “Hardcore Coin” which can be used to purchase various items from the NPC shops in each safe zone.

Completing Quests

Daily Quests

After completing the Perilous Journey Begins quest, you can accept a random quest from NPC Faisal based on your Survival Points.

• These quests are available once per day, and you cannot accept more than one at a time.
• The quest you can accept each day depends on your current Survival Points.
  
  • Your current Survival Points are displayed above your character name.

Bonus Quests

Bonus quests can also appear according to a set probability while defeating monsters on the Hardcore server.

• Bonus quests are available once per day, and you cannot accept more than one at a time.

Killing other Players

If you kill another player, you can steal 10% of the Survival Points.

However, you receive the following penalty if your Survival Point is at or above 3,000.

• If you defeat an adventurer with less than 20% of your own points, a –30% penalty applies.
  
  • ex) If you have 5,000 points and defeat someone with 1,000 or fewer, you’ll lose 1,500 points.

In the following regions, if you defeat adventurers with Survival Points under 20% of  your Survival Points, the -30% deduction penalty on your Survival Points will not be applied.

Hardcore PVP Server Exclusive Gear

When logging into the Hardcore PVP Server for the first time, you are given a chest containing starter gear. Hardcore server-exclusive gear cannot be repaired or enhanced and the Max Durability of the gear is different compared to the normal server.

If you die, any equipped gear can lose Durability according to a set probability, but gear stored in your inventory is safe.

There are different grades of gear available. Monsters can drop chests containing higher grade gear, and you can also purchase gear from the NPCs located in each safe zone.

Safe Zone locations and NPCs

• Pilgrim’s Sanctums serve as safe zones on the Hardcore Server, where players can engage in quests and purchase or sell items.
• The sanctums offer the following functions:
  
  • Meet NPCs to undertake daily quests and earn Quest Points.
  • Certain NPCs offer purchasing/selling various items to help prepare your gear for adventures ahead.
• If you disconnect after making an offering, you will start at the Pilgrim’s Sanctum upon next login.

How to leave the Hardcore PVP Server

You can log out of the server normally if you need to, however there are some rules due to the limited playtime each day:

• If you log out of the server, you will log back in at the same location
• Remaining playtime continues to deplete even while you are logged out, so you may not be able to log back in if your remaining time reaches 0.
  • ex) If you log in at 7 PM and log out at 8 PM, you cannot log back in at 9 PM as your time is exhausted.

Making an “Offering”

When you are ready to leave the Hardcore server for the day, you must “make an offering” by exiting the server through the purple portals.

• Once you complete an offering, you cannot play on the hardcore server for the rest of the day.
• • Even if you have an hour of playtime left, you cannot re-enter after making an offering.
  • After offering, you will be automatically logged out from the Hardcore server and redirected to the Character Selection window.
  • You will not be able to re-enter until the next available time (23 hours after you first logged in)
  • If you disconnect after making an offering, you will start at the Pilgrim’s Sanctum (safe zone) upon next login.

Making an offering converts your current Survival Points and Quests Points into Hardcore Honor Seals. Hardcore Honor Seals can then be exchanged for rewards on the main server. (See reward section for full list of exchangable rewards)

Dark Fog Mechanic

If a certain number of adventurers gather within a certain area in the Hardcore Server, the Dark Fog will activate.

• When the Dark Fog is created, you will be teleported to a separate space where combat will occur.
  
  • Other adventurers outside the fog cannot intrude inside.

• Once activated, adventurers within cannot leave until only one remains alive.
• When only 1 adventurer is left standing in the fog, they will be moved back to their original location.
• Cannot unequip gear within the fog.
• Cannot replace gear within the fog.
• Cannot access the map within the fog.
• Escape function unavailable within the fog.
• Exiting the game abnormally within the fog will incur a death penalty and revive your character at a random sanctum upon reconnecting.

Boss Monsters

Boss monsters Laytenn and Puturum will appear at random locations through the Great Desert.

You can defeat them to obtain valuable items and a substantial amount of Survival Points.

• An alert will announce the appearance of a boss monster, and its location will be marked on the World Map 5 min after it appears.
  
  • Boss monsters will despawn if not defeated within 30 min.
  • The adventurer who lands the final blow upon the boss monster will obtain the loot.

Shrouded Warriors

Shrouded Warriors can appear randomly while defeating monsters on the Hardcore server. They serve as a challenging element, and upon defeating them, you’ll be able to obtain various items.

Server Challenges (Titles)

Server challenges can be completed to earn claim special titles.

The title of the highest rank you’ve obtained will automatically be applied to your character. These titles are only used on the Hardcore server.

• Hardcore server challenges and obtained titles will be reset and deleted, if you delete your Hardcore server character.

Wandering Merchant

The Wandering Merchant appears at random times and locations on the Hardcore server to sell rare accessory items.

• There will be a notificaiton on your screen to say that the Wandering Merchant has spawned.

Each day when you make an “Offering” and store your collected points, your collected points are converted to Hardcore Honor seals that can be exchanged for various rewards.

You can exchange Hardcore Honor’s Seals directly in the Manage Currency UI.

• Click the Manage Currency icon on the top right of the screen (next to your mini-map).
• Or open the UI by going to the ESC Menu – Rewards (F3) – Manage Currency Menu

Survival Point Rankings – End of Season Rewards

Survival Point rankings are tallied periodically, and the top 10 adventurers with the current highest total Survival Points are marked on the World Map.

• Server rankings are updated when you log out or make an offering. Rankings for everyone will reset daily at midnight.
• You can also view rankings through the Hardcore Server rankings UI

The following titles and rewards will be issued when the Hardcore server pre-season ends, based on the rank/percentile achieved.

• Pre-season period: Mar 13, 2025 (Thu) after maintenance – Apr 10, 2025 (Thu) before maintenance
  • This period is subject to change.
• Hardcore title rewards are available for use for 30 days.
