Gyeongbok Palace and Royal Workshops
Gyeongbok Palace is a real location in Seoul, Korea, and the palace in-game is modeled after the real location almost exactly.
The palace also introduces a unique new “Royal Workshops System”, allowing the players to take part in automated processing and trade.
The Royal Workshop is a special production workshop you can invest in. It is only available in the Land of the Morning Light: Seoul region and costs 5 contribution points to unlock.
Unlike other housing/workshops you send a worker to, this special workshop can passively produce, process, and deliver exclusive items to earn silver or buff items. In addition, rare materials have a low chance of being produced, and these can be used to craft rare processed trade goods to deliver. These rare trade goods can be transported by yourself and sold for income based on the distance bonus and your trading level.
Hyeonrokdang Mansion
A new mansion is added and located in the capital of Gyeongbok Palace.
- Players must complete all of the stories in LOML: Seoul to unlock the mansion and purchase a contract.
- The mansion costs 5 contribution points to rent as well as silver.

World Bosses
There are 4 new world bosses located in Land of the Morning Light. The world bosses are located in both the Donghae region and the new Hwanghae region.

When you enter the spawn location for the world boss, a weekly quest UI appears in the top right of your screen. The quest requires you to defeat the world boss and rewards you with a loot box when completed. The weekly quest can only be completed once a week for each of the 4 bosses, meaning you can obtain up to 4 loot boxes in total per week.
- Weekly quests reset every Thursday at 00:00 UTC.
As well as the rewards listed below, the top 10 players who deal the most damage to the world boss have a very low chance of obtaining a Primordial Flame, which is used to craft the new Sovereign Weapons.

Black Shrine Bosses
The new Black Shrine bosses in the LOML: Seoul update are currently not available and will be added in a future patch. However, we already know quite a few detail about these new bosses.
There will be 10 new bosses in total:
- Janghwa and Hongryeon
- Bulgasal
- Dark Bonghwang
- Uturi
- Samsin
- Jigwi
- Child in Blue
- Cheoyong
- + 2 mysterious hidden bosses that have yet to be revealed
Although the new Black Shrine bosses were initially announced to be guild content, the developers decided to open them up to co-op play without that restriction. Any 5 players can form a party together to face the boss, but there will be additional rewards if all 5 players are members of the same guild.
There are also other changes to the Black Shrine that are different from LOML Part 1. For example, the player’s gear does matter and the Sun/Moon/Earth Aura is used in a different way. Before the battle, all members of the party choose between the 3 auras. The Sun Aura affects crowd control, the Moon Aura increases the number of revives the party has available, and the Earth Aura increases the number of HP recovery orbs in the arena.
Sovereign Weapons
Sovereign weapons are a Primordial tier weapon and the best weapons available in the game.
3 different methods can be used to create a Sovereign Weapon.
- Combine PEN (V) Blackstar weapon with Primordial Flame
- Combine TWO PEN (V) Blackstar weapons
- Combine PEN (V) Blackstar Weapon + Caphras Lv. 20 Boss Weapon + Gem of Twilight
Sovereign weapons have a total of 10 enhancement levels, but unlike other weapons, they do not go from +0 up to +10 and instead use the following names:
- PRI (I) – DUO (II) – TRI (III) – TET (IV) – PEN (V) HEX (VI) – SEP (VII) – OCT (VIII) – NOV (IX) – DEC (X)
Each enhancement requires a new type of Primordial Black Stone and each failed enhancement reduces the weapon’s max durability by 20.
You can use Cron Stones for the enhancement attempt and can gain Agris Essence when failing.
In addition to their superior stats, the Sovereign weapons can be reformed using special reform stones to add 5 extra item effects of your choice. More information, including a full list of weapon stats, can be found in our Sovereign Weapons Guide.
Asadal Accessories
The Asadal Necklace and Asadal Belt are 2 new accessories added with the LOML: Seoul update. The accessories have unique skills that can be used when they are equipped.
- Asadal Accessories cannot be unequipped during the skill’s cooldown
- Asadal Accessories cannot be enhanced using a J’s Precision Hammer
