Introduction

Mysterious Paintings can be obtained by destroying Cargo Ships which can spawn randomly in the sea.

There are 5 different painting with the same name but the description will be different:

• Mysterious Painting #1: A faded drawing of a sharp blue scale piece
• Mysterious Painting #2: A faded drawing of a torch and burning flag
• Mysterious Painting #3: A faded drawing of a human face.
  
• Mysterious Painting #4: A faded drawing of multiple humanoid figures.
  
• Mysterious Painting #5: A faded drawing of a large numerical value and an eagle symbol.
  

Check the description by hovering over the item in your inventory

Right-click the painting and select “NPC Location” to start a questline. Each Mysterious Painting has a different questline and each questline can only be completed once per family.

Currently only the Mysterious Painting #1 and #2 have questlines available. Questlines for the other paintings are coming in future patches

Mysterious Painting #1

This Painting has the description “A faded drawing of a sharp blue scale piece”.

The rewards for completing this questline are:

• Elixir of Regeneration x1
• Contribution EXP
• Sailing EXP.

The questline starts in Velia at Artemio Fiazza, who can be found near Eileen (the General Goods Vendor). He then tells you to speak to the Artist in Calpheon.

After speaking to the Artist, you will need to hand over the mysterious painting and pick up the follow on quests from him. You will now have to go to speak to two Velian guards. One can be found in Port Epheria and the other is found in Velia (both on the beaches).

Once you are done, go back to the Artist in Calpheon to complete the quest and pick up the next quest from him. You will now have to go to Oquilla’s Eye and speak to Sherah Riki on the island.

Hand over the restored painting to Sherah Riki and then continue to follow the questline at Oquilla’s Eye. You will have to talk to the different tribesmen on the island and then to go around and interact with the Lopters.

Next, report back to Herrad Romsen and he will send you back to the Artist in Calpheon to complete the questline.

After completing the questline, you will be able to exchange any future Mysterious Painting #1 you obtain for a Gold Bar 1G (100,000 silver) by talking to the Artist in Calpheon.

Mysterious Painting #2

This Painting has the description “A faded drawing of a torch and burning flag”.

The rewards for completing this questline are:

• Elixir of Regeneration x1
• Cox Pirates’ Artifact (Parley Beginner) x5
• Cox Pirates’ Artifact (Parlet Expert) x5
• Cox Pirates’ Artifact (Combat) x10
• Contribution EXP

The questline starts on Kuit Island (pirate island) at Gafur, who is the Wharf Manager NPC. She will then ask you to steal Cox Pirates’ treasure around the island. To complete this quest you simply need to kill three of the Cox Pirate’s Jewel chests nearby.

Nex you will be taken to meet Haim, who is the Currency Exchange NPC on the island. He will ask you to hand over the painting and then you will be led over to Hazelnut, the General Goods Vendor.

After speaking with Hazelnut you will need to kill 300 monsters on Kuit island. Make sure to loot the monsters because for the next quest you need to hand over Ancient Iron Coin x1, Ancient Bronze Coin x1 and Ancient Silver Coin x1. All of these coins can drop from the pirates on the island.

Now go back to Haim and speak with him to complete the rest of the questline.

After completing the questline, you will be able to exchange any future Mysterious Painting #2 you obtain for a Gold Bar 1G (100,000 silver) by talking to Haim on Kuit Island.
