Introduction
The Mediah Patch was introduced to EU/NA on the 30th March 2016. This patch update unlocked the Mediah region, adding approximately 30% extra land to the map. This update also added over 1,000 new quests, including new Guild Missions and Guild Bosses, new weapons and armor sets, and the world boss: Kzarka.
New Leveling Spots BACK TO TOP
The new region zones are designed for level 50+ and the mobs there are harder than any of the previous spots. It is possible to go straight to these spots with 70 AP and 70 DP, but you will find it quite hard. We would recommend a minimum of 100 AP and 100 DP if you want to be able to comfortably grind in these spots.
More spots are to be added in the future.
Check out our Leveling 1 – 60 Guide for item drops and ratings.
LEVEL 50 – 55: HELM STATION
MOBS: HELM TRIBE CHIEF, HELM TRIBE HUNTER, HELM TRIBE DUAL WIELDER
These monsters are quite hard and you do not want to go to these zone without decent gear. There is also a Violent (Elite) mob which you do not want to pull because he will do a lot of ranged damage. There is an area where 10 – 15 mobs spawn but otherwise the packs are fairly small/average (4 – 6). You can also go into the underground mines but if you’ve just arrived at this spot most of the monsters inside will be red/purple and take you too long to kill.
LEVEL 51 – 55: ELRIC TEMPLE
MOBS: ELRIC SENIOR PRIEST, ELRIC PRIEST, ELRIC FOLLOWERS, PUTRID SWAMP, ELRIC FANATIC
These monsters spawn in packs of 4 to 6. They also have high drop chances and can drop Blackstones, Grunil parts and Krea weapons so you can earn quite a lot of silver while you are leveling here. Most of the monsters are melee but the Priests are ranged and can be quite annoying. You can either hunt inside the temple or in the mountains just south of it. I personally recommend going into the mountains where there are packs of 10+ mobs.
LEVEL 52 – 56: SAUSAN POST
MOBS: SAUSAN GUARD, SAUSAN SNIPER, SAUSAN ASSASSIN
The monsters that spawn here do have high damage and knockdown abilites so be careful whilst trying to fight them. They do however have high drop chances and can drop parts of the Hebe set, Creatinine weapons, Grunil gloves and Blackstones. There is also a town very closeby where you can buy potions when you run out and exchange your trash items. You get 3 different types of exchanges items here which can all be traded at Sarma outpost nearby. Xiaoshan packages will give you 135,000 silver for every 100 you exchange, Torn Pieces will give you 100,000 silver for every 100 you exchange, and Broken Armor Debris will give you 100,000 silver for every 100 you exchange. You can also rent a home nearby and use a “container” box (rent from warehouse NPC) to store items in your Trent town warehouse (storage).
LEVEL 55 – 60: PIRATE ISLAND
MOBS: DRUNK TREASURE HUNTER, ELITE SOLDIER, DECK COMBATANT, RED ELITE, COX ELITE GLADIATOR
Pirates spawn on two islands. You will need both a boat and good gear to farm here. The mobs do hit quite hard and spawn in large packs so be careful whilst farming here. It can also be quite annoying to farm here because the closest place to buy potions is quite far away. I would recommend buying a house on the closest island and using a “container” box (rent from warehouse NPC) to store your items.
Pirate Island is currently not in the EU/NA version yet.

Crimson Battlefield BACK TO TOP
The Crimson Battlefield is a 40 vs 40 team death match which lasts 20 minutes. You can join the Crimson Battleground at any time by opening the main menu (ESC) then selecting “Crimson Battlefield”. A window should pop-up explaining the rules and rewards of the battleground. Click the “Enter” button to join. The only requirements for joining are that you are level 50 or higher.
Once you’ve joined the battleground you will be teleported to a castle arena in Mediah. Here you will be assigned a red or blue faction and will be able to kill any other player on the opposing faction without any PvP penalties.
Each battle needs a minimum of 1 player on each team and can have a maximum of 40 players on each team. The battle will last 20 minutes. During this time you must kill the other faction to gain points for your team, with the winning team having the most points at the end of the battle.
Each player will be given an extra 1,000 HP and AP and DP points will be increased if you do not meet the minimum requirements. If the sum of both teams score is over 200, and the difference in score between both teams is greater than 30%, the losing team will receive an additional HP bonus of +500.
Each person will start with 10 points by default.
Killing a player with higher points will give you a higher point reward, while killing a player with low points will give you a lower point reward.
- Killing a player with 0-10 points rewards you with 5 points
- Killing a player with 11-19 points rewards you with 7 points
- Killing a player with 20-29 points rewards you with 14 points
- Killing a player with 30-39 points rewards you with 21 points
- Killing a player with 40-49 points rewards you with 28 points
- Etc.
To leave the Crimson Battleground, open your main menu (ESC) at any time. Logging out, leaving the battleground, or when the battleground is finished, you will return to your original place in the world.
Rules
- Crimson Battlefield is a 20 minute battle between two parties. You can only join the battle within 10 minutes from the start.
- The battle mode is “Team Death Match” and the team with the highest accumulated points wins.
- You cannot join the battleground if you are in a party.
- If your AP and DP is below the set level, they will temporarily be increased to the minimum requirement.
- If you kill an enemy, the points you earn depends on the points of your enemy.
- If you kill an enemy, you will earn 1/2 of the enemies score
- If you die, you will lose 1/4 of your score
- You will always have and earn a minimum of 1 point
- You can join from all channels except the Siege Channels.
Rewards

- 150 Red Seals can be exchanged for a Red Essence at Ornella in Heidel.
- Heating Red Essence and Ancient Magic Crystal: Power can produce Red Battlefield Crystal: Power.
- Heating Red Essence and Ancient Magic Crystal: Adamantine can produce Red Battlefield Crystal: Adamantine.

Other Changes BACK TO TOP
Black Market
The Black Market is a merchant NPC which only shows up in certain places at night time. You have to spend energy to see what he has for sale but he can offer rare items such as Black Stones, Liverto Weapons, Memory Fragments, etc. for a discounted price.
The Black Market NPCs are in the EU/NA version but do not sell anything just yet!
Forbidden Books
Forbidden Books are similar to the Ancient Relic Crystal Shards and have a chance of dropping from any monsters in the Mediah region. You must arrange 5 of them in to (V) shape in your inventory to create a boss scroll. The reward for defeating the boss are Memory Fragments and Hunters Seals, along with all other boss rewards.
Alchemy Stones
You can equip one Alchemy Stone in your equipment slot, to give you a buff which will last for 3 minutes (Life Alchemy Stones last 10 minutes). It can also be reused automatically every 3 minutes, giving you a permanent buff.
There are 3 types of Alchemy Stones
- Destruction – Buff: attack, accuracy, ignore resistances, attack speed, cast speed
- Protection – Buff: damage reduction, evasion, maximum health, resistances
- Life – Buff: reduced cooking/alchemy craft time, processing success rate, weight limit increase, gathering, fishing, gathering drop rate
Click here to read our extensive guide about Alchemy Stones
Marking Reagent
The Marking Reagent is used against a player in PvP to reveal their name for 5 minutes, preventing them from hiding it through any mechanic (such as the Ghillie suit). To use it you must be flagged for PvP, then launch the item at your target as you would with any ranged attack.
The item requires Skilled Lv.5+ in Alchemy to craft and uses the following recipe:
- Magic Crystal of Enchantment: Vision x1
- Blood of Sinner x10
- Herbal Gunpowder x10
- Sticky Liquid x10
- Blackstone Powder x10
Players with higher alchemy skills have a chance of creating more Marking Reagents each time they craft. It’s also important to note that this is only one of the ways to produce the Marking Reagent, and you should play with the recipe to find the golden ratio.
Energy Potions
You can store/convert spare energy into energy potions to use at a later date or sell on the Auction House. Simply talk to the Alchemist NPC “Alustin” in Velia Town to convert energy to energy potions.
Energy potions do not share a cool-down with the energy tonic.
Energy exchange rates
- Energy 100 -> Energy Potion (10 Energy)
- Energy 200 -> Energy Potion (20 Energy)
- Energy 300 -> Energy Potion (30 Energy)
- Energy 400 -> Energy Potion (50 Energy)
Upcoming Changes BACK TO TOP
New Classes: Musa/Maehwa
The Musa (Blader) class is a traditional samurai with a female counterpart “Maehwa” (Plum).
These classes are rumored to be coming out mid April 2016.
There are a couple skill differences between the two, which change the play style completely. They each wear light armor and use a sword as their primary weapon with a horn bow as their secondary weapon. Both use Stamina and Energy (EP).
The classes are fast paced, dynamic, and fun to play. Musa have more AoE skills with a lot more mobility and utility. Due to this they thrive in PvE. They are also quite strong in small scale PvP but their low defenses make them a little harder to master in large scale PvP. They rely heavily on their mobility and utility to survive a larger battle.
Maehwa uses a mixture of melee and ranged attacks with plenty of dodges and charges. They thrive in small scale PvP due to their single target lockdowns and high burst. They are also quite strong in PvE but their low defenses and lack of survivability make them an easier target in large scale PvP.
New players must really keep in mind that there is quite a learning curve with any low defense class. However, just like any other class, Musa and Maehwa are very rewarding when you master them.
Enchanting to +20
At the moment it is not possible to enchant past +15, however, this will soon be available and will require Concentrated Magical Black Stones.
- Concentrated Magical Black Stone (Armor)
- Recipe: Hard Black Crystal Shard x1, Black Stone (Armor) x2
- Press “L” then “Heating” to craft.
- Concentrated Magical Black Stone (Weapon)
- Recipe: Sharp Black Crystal Shard x1, Black Stone (Weapon) x2
- Press “L” then “Heating” to craft.
Hard/Sharp Black Crystal Shards can be obtained through 3 different life professions:
- Gathering – Gathering using any tools
- Farming – Tending to your farm
- Hunting – Hunting the Blue Whale
They can also be bought from the Black Market, obtained from Treasure Chests (with a Gold Key) or may be offered as a quest reward in life profession quests.
ENCHANTING | CHANCE OF SUCESS | DECREASE MAX DURABILITY | FAIL STACKS |
---|---|---|---|
+15 to +16 | 20% | 10 | +2 |
+16 to +17 | 10% | 10 | +3 |
+17 to +18 | 5% | 10 | +4 |
+18 to +19 | 2.5% | 10 | +5 |
+19 to +20 | 2% | 10 | +6 |
When enchanting past +15, there is no safe enchant method and each time you fail there is a chance that the equipment with disenchant by one. For example, if you fail going +17 to +18, your item may go back to +16. You can buy an item for 1,000,000 silver from the Blacksmith which will stop the item from disenchanting if it fails, but it will consume the item each time, making it very costly.
Each fail will also decrease the equipment’s max durability by 10 and will give you a higher fail stack. For example, if you fail going to +18 to +19, you will gain 5 fail stacks, increasing your chances of success next time.
More information on Enchanting will be added to our Enchanting guide as we gather more data.
Boss Armor, Pirate Island and Black Market are NOT in the game yet for NA/EU.
